Steven is an Engineer from Buffalo, New York and a graduate of the University at Buffalo School of Engineering with a bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering. Steven has a background in engineering research developing in vivo cell culture micro-flow biofilm chambers for electrical stimulation tissue testing and scanning electron microscopy. As SPEL’s senior technologist Steven serves as a point of contact for outside bodies and associates of Harvard Medical School and MEEI to communicate with our team. He manages all transgenic murine models utilized in SPEL research and has proficiency in a variety of research techniques including histological preparations, micro-surgery, super-resolution microscopy, and AI image post-processing. He also helps onboard and train new lab members, promoting their knowledge of SPEL’s projects and SOPs and fulfilling the lab’s research goals as we continue to make advancements in super-resolution imaging and the evaluation of the peripheral nervous system.
