Steven is an Engineer from Buffalo, New York and a graduate of the University at Buffalo School of Engineering with a bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering. Steven has a background in engineering research developing in vivo cell culture micro-flow biofilm chambers for electrical stimulation tissue testing and scanning electron microscopy. As SPEL’s manager Steven serves as a point of contact for the lab. He oversees all transgenic murine models utilized in SPEL research and has proficiency in a variety of research techniques including histological preparations, micro-surgery, super-resolution microscopy, and AI image post-processing. He also helps onboard and train new lab members, promoting their knowledge of SPEL’s projects and SOPs and fulfilling the lab’s research goals as we continue to make advancements in super-resolution imaging and the evaluation of the peripheral nervous system.
